for PC RPG Games, I usually play as a female(or choose the female mc) first, romance her with another girls (NGAHAHAHA) and then tried romancing the guys, after I've done with all that, the dessert would be the guys x guys. I just feel incomplete if I haven't tried everything :''''
And I love playing as girl in online games! It makes me easier to entice someone to give me money as a noob ngahaha of course I stopped doing that after I go pro :3

In games that give a choice, I'll usually end up playing both genders at some point. Playing the male or female character first depends on my mood and how interesting I find the character's design and possible story-lines.

I tend to play female for most of my online games... for very lecherous reasons. If I'm going to be staring at the ass of a toon for the next 8 or so months I'm going to be staring at a female avatar. that and their magic tends to be pretty strong.

I normally play whoever has a better character design or design options. Or, perhaps, the better personality, as such I usually tend to play as guys since the popular character types for females normally annoy me. I do prefer playing as girls though.

I play as my gender most of the time but I'll play as boy too, I'm not picky.

Same gender for me, if possible to change. If not, well, what can I do?

Usually female for MMO's, but I don't mind playing as a male ^^ Females are just usually the cuter characters. However if they have predetermined characteristics I'd probably choose the better character regardless of gender.

Always picked male. Except if the class or skill I really like is female only.
If not, male is my choice.

I greatly prefer being able to play as a female (same gender as myself). I sometimes make exceptions if (a) the game is highly recommended and (b) it's not a game where you're meant to play as yourself (for example - Kingdom Hearts. There's no personal choices in that or anything.)

I'm male, and I generally play as male in action games (or romance, obviously), but female if the avatar is customizable and it's a long RPG where I'll have to be staring at my avatar for hours on end. (And women are usually more "intelligent", e.g. less slashing and more fancy magic, and it's rarer to see a game with a smart guy as the protagonist who isn't a robe-wearing wimp).

Both, really. I don't care if the character is male or female. They both are interesting and different in their own way:).
In romance games as well. I play everything, yaoi, yuri, or straight.
For me it's not important the gender, but the person.

I used to routinely roll as big beefy muscledudes back in my mid-to-late teens, like Lord Stud in Oblivion or Space Kurt Warner in Mass Effect. Ever since I got into anime in late 2010, it's been saccharine cuties for me.

I still create the occasionally bearded hardbody, but more as a comedic secondary character.

If it's a type of dating simulation, then female.

Any other time I play as a male...especially in MMORPGs. But as somewhat as a gentleman~ and I think I role-play it out quite well. I've had a many not believe me when I did tell them I was a chic.

I always play as my own gender (Female), at any possible occasion, even if the male is stronger in some way, It's GIRL POWER for me. Besides, most games that I normally would see would have male protagonists so having the option for a female protagonist was kinda rare. If there is one thing that I don't like in MMORPGs is that to get a class you have to be a certain gender, but that's only some of them (Thankfully), if I want to be a warrior, I want to be a GIRL warrior damn it!!
