STORY:
Nobody knows he's not of this world, not of this space, not of this planet. Nobody knows he isn't good with people, he isn't anti-social, he isn't living his life the fullest. Nobody knows he's watching people, he's observing the society, he's trying to catch up with the life around him.

CHARACTERS:

DANIEL
Maybe this world is strange, maybe he is
strange. Daniel comes from another world,
a world of his own. He doesn't know the way
in this world, our world. Everything is strange
and foreign to him. He's still learning his way.

JANETTE
Janette is important, an important friend
and somewhat more for him. He thinks of
her as his guide to human's world and the
precious companion he never dares to expect.
Janette is a friend for him and that's fine.

From what I can see of the screenshots, it seems like you're going to be using that interesting shadow effect in-game. I like how it appears to make the character stand out from the background, and indeed the text bubble.

How literally should I interpret the premise by the way, will the player accompany Daniel through his secluded internal world, or is that mainly just setting the scene?

That all aside, I'm particularly pleased with the visual distinctiveness of the settings menu with Janette holding that interesting clock. It's nice and raises a few interesting questions. It seems like she's presenting it, or showing it to someone - was there something in particular that inspired this that you'd be willing to share? If it's a reference to something famous, I apologize for my ignorance.

Currently changing engine, since Renpy coding will never be easy for me, I'm bringing this over Tyrano Builder

@Quelcezot: Yes, the player will be able to learn about Daniel's internal thoughts and how he see the world. Hmm, the thing is the clock actually relates to something in the plot that I can't reveal but it will be clear enough once you play the game.
