Without a Voice is a short, free (PWYW for tips) VN being developed for Yuri Game Jam 2016 by L² (read as "L squared"). The writing/programming is being done by Lorelei, while the art, design, and graphical assets are by Laniessa.

CHARACTERS



Cassidy, the protagonist. A exiled princess and the eldest child of the Veromere royal family.
Cassidy is nice, but rather clueless and struggles to live on her own due to her pampered upbringing.



Elowen, the mysterious beauty who appears before Cassidy one day. While at a glance she is
graceful and beautiful in an otherworldly way, she is also quick to anger and rather self-centered.
Sometimes, she becomes quiet and a little gloomy when staring out at the woods outside the cottage windows...

!!!!! This looks so pretty and beautiful so far!!! The plot is intriguing as well (mostly because I am lowkey into drama surrounding royalty ??) I'm excited for this and I can't wait to see more of it!

This looks lovely. The character design is beautiful - aesthetically appealing, while also nicely indicative of their personalities. The logo and title are also intriguing to me.

^0^ Thank you everyone for the support!!! I'm working hard to make this really pretty!! We're about a week in so I'll give a quick progress report on my side:
- Sprites are fully sketched and prepped for painting!
- Cassidy's hair is all painted in! I'm working on the rest now.
- One background is done! Most of the other backgrounds have been prepped for me to paint over! (We're going with painted over photos to save time.)

My plan is to have all the sprites done in the next two days? All the backgrounds by the end of week 2, and then spend the rest of the time doing tons of CG/extra art >w<

Those sprites, those backgrounds... I wanna see more . I know I've seen some WIP on Twitter but you should post more on this topic, ahah.
Anyway, the story seems very intriguing and I can't wait to play this entry!

It's been a while since our last update! I'm just chiming in to say that all core assets are done - character sprites, backgrounds and the CGs!

There's still a bit of work left on the visual side - I'm going to design a custom UI for the game, and I've got a couple of extra pieces of art that I want to finish!
