Slider has transparency field around it

The sliders here make part of the bar around it disappear. Is there a way I can fix this?

Okay, and now how can I open it up so the full slider is still visible at max and min values?

What about setting gutters to 0?

That doesn't look like it's changing anything. Based on where the slider disappears, I think it has something to do with the border around the vboxes. The slider disappears on that hard edge on the left side, because I guess the contents of the box are left-aligned, but it's okay on the right side. On the right side of the right-most column, it disappears again because that's the hard edge of the total preferences box. I just don't know how to change those borders.

Mmm, try either to set paddings for the box or to set the size of the box.
