Renpy Launcher launch problem [SOLVED]

I don't know what's happening but Renpy launcher launches really REALLY slow lately... it's still the same dev system I used and renpy used to launch fast... I even tried unloading the projects in the directory (all 20 of them) and same results... I scanned my computer with Norton to check for viruses and still no go... I even checked to make sure nothing suspicious is running in the background... I even tried running Renpy with Norton turned off... same results

After I clicked on the launcher... I tried pressing CTRL + ALT + DELETE to make sure it is running and yes it is indeed loaded and running but still takes more than two minutes to show in the screen... not even bringing the process to front do anything.

My renpy machine is quite decent with good old Windows XP in it (32bit), 4 Gig of Memory, A decent 2 Gig video card mem with 2 1TB HD's... all drivers are updated and everything... so I am at a loss what makes the Launcher well... slow...

Err... as in a full system re install?... But my PC is just reformatted last week... and I tried removing every instances and copy of renpy and downloaded a fresh copy... same thing... rest is fine... it's just the renpy launcher (the one where you create games) and launching renpy games (from the launcher) that is slow... but once in game... everything is good... until you closed the launcher and turned it on again...

What's the memory process of the program in the task manager? It should be something like 20,000 K - if yours is any higher that might be causing the lag.

Did you change anything from the last time you used it?

I already isolated the problem... it was my HD failing... I simply moved Renpy to another HD and it now launches fast...
