Voice recognition

#1 Post by Parkey » Mon Jun 04, 2012 1:46 pm

Hello everybody!

I'm doing a big game and I'm asking myself if it's possible to make a voice recognition in ren'py, so someone speaks and the game do an action, like a choice.

Thank you!

Built in? No. Build it? If you've got a degree in Software Engineering.

It's not easy you know. Nor is python optimal. You will have to drop that idea if want to use ren'py.

edit: I need to start looking at post dates.

Ok, thanks.

One last question: it's possible to start an audio file in a minute/second? I mean, start it in 0:30 instead of 0:00.

Thanks!

Well, you could always make an audio file that starts where you want it to start, so I'm not sure I see the point in that.
(All projects currently on a hiatus of sorts. I blame life.)

Not really checking the forums any more due to time constraints, so if you want to contact me, PM. I'll get a notification and log in.
Also, I've been hit and run posting, which means I don't see many replies. If you want to respond to something I've said, also feel free to PM me.

NOTE: if you've got questions about vnovel or things like that, it's Leon that you should be contacting. Leon's been pretty much handling everything, but due to various reasons, I've had to withdraw entirely.
