HELP Change Renpy icon

I have browsed many forums on LSF about how to change exe icon on Ren'py. Seems I have failed after uncountable trial and errors...Someone help please ? I used IconConverter, hopefully to change exe icon, but it didn't work either. I'm too lazy to do it manually with XN Resource Editor because it seems complicated.
BTW, I use Ren'py 6.13.9

Here is what I have done so far

What it looks after I build the distribusions
(looks like) I have succesfully changing the exe icons, but why the Renpy icon still appear ?

I have successfully changing taskbar and window icon, but...

The shortcut is still stuck on Renpy's icon

Just leave your .ico in the Main folder -- NOT the Game folder. When you package it for distribution, it should transfer all by itself.

There...it's what you called "Directory Folder", right ?

...Tried. Nope, it didn't work again. Could it be a problem with the icon size ? I used 32x32 pixel .jpg type

BTW, this funny thing. I tried to delete the game shortcut (still appear as Renpy mascot) but the warning box shows my "intended" game icon

32x32 is Too Small. The icon is supposed to be: 256x256.

I tried to change the size into 256x256, but it didn't work (again ? What's wrong with me ?!)

There's no such thing as a jpg type icon. You have to convert the jpeg into ico and icns format, using a tool like: http://iconverticons.com/

I have it already, I think. I have converted it

Look, after I build a distribution, it has already an executable file. But it doesn't change the Renpy icon when I tried to make a shortcut

Yes, like I said before, I have tried creating a new shortcut

But the result is still the same. The Renpy mascot still appear instead my "intended" game icon

I'm having the same issue. Ren'Py 6.14.1.366, Windows 7.

The same problem happens, if I change the icon view setting in Windows Explorer - works fine only on 16x16 size:

The icon I'm using is 256x256 .ico file, converted from .png with convertico.com:

Edit: I installed XN Resource Editor and opened the .exe; all icons are mine, 256x256 size is missing (?). 256x256 size was also missing when I tried importing the icon into exe from XN Resource Editor. Seems to be the same problem as here - http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewto ... =8&t=17184.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Windows explorer caches icons. Renaming the file to something random like "fsdfsdf.exe" shows if this is the case.

Yes! Thank you! It seems the problem was indeed with explorer caching the icons. I didn't had to rename it actually; I just checked it today and it was showing correctly on its own.
