Is there a way for players to enter their names?

#1 Post by angelcam » Fri Sep 14, 2012 11:46 am

Hey, kinda new and nooby, so I hope this question doesn't come off as being a little on the stupid-sounding side... :oops:

I was just wondering if there is a code that will allow the user/player (what's the proper term in this case?) to type in their name? For example, if anyone has played ninja love, or be my princess, from Gree, you're allowed to enter your name there and the in-game characters can use it, and it makes it a little more personal and involving.

Also if anyone has any idea where I can go for more in-depth tutorials than the one included with the software, I'd most likely benefit from it.

Thanks in advance :3

This link show you how to ask a name. FOr the main character to use the name, set a Dynamic Character like this :

Code: Select all

$ me = DynamicCharacter("player_name")
