I'm sorry ;A; I feel like a botherer by asking this...but um, for some reason, all my dialogue and name tag texts aren't showing up DX and its really annoying because everything else is working...and this is sort of a big deal when it comes to visual novels :"D; I'm not really sure how to be specific about a problem like this...I'm declaring my characters in this fashion:
Code: Select all
define l =Character('Lance', color="#8D38C9")
And speech is like this
Code: Select all
"I must be insane. Either that, or this is a dream...or..."
z "You heard me."
r "Oh, please. Is this some kind of bad joke?"
z "What a way to show your gratitude!"
And this is how I placed the text box (it's a predefined image)
Code: Select all
style.window.background = Frame("TextBox.png", 259, 792)
So there's nothing out of the ordinary...but nothing is showing up ;o; and i feel like i'm the only person stupid enough to get this problem TT_TT

Code: Select all
define l =Character('Lance', color="#8D38C9")
should be
Code: Select all
define l = Character('Lance', color="#8D38C9")
Or did you just forget to add in the space in your post? If you did forget, and your actual script has it, ignore me.

My usual disclaimer: I'm learning myself and offer only a grain of salt.
When perusing the customizing textbox thread below, the one thing that caught my eye was the frame dimensions.
http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewto ... =51&t=9233
Code: Select all
Style.window.background = Frame("TextBox.png", 259, 792)
Versus smaller values toward the end.
Code: Select all
Style.window.background = Frame("TextBox.png", 25, 25)
I hope this helps and/or places you on the path.

I fixed it 8D I'm stupid. It was a padding issue ;w; if you get the padding wrong, no text shows up at all it seems ><
