Ren'Py 6.1.1 Released

#1 Post by PyTom »

I've released Ren'Py 6.1.1 "Snow Bunny". This release focuses on stability, and primarily collects bug-fixes to 6.1.0. It also includes one new feature: The ability to continue after an error that occurs during a shift-R reload.

Downloads and a full release announcement can be found at:

Hmmm...just after I played a totally crash-free release candidate in 6.1.0 :?

So the changes are minimal, it's worth a shot.

6.1.1b is out. This version _should_ run on a read-only filesystem, and _should_ run on OS X 10.3.9. I'd appreciate it if people could test it and give me feedback, especially about these two changes.

Thanks!

I was the one who requested that a game be runnable from a read-only filesystems (a CD in fact).

So - I retested my game under the new release and it works (no surprise really!!!)

So thanks are due to PyTom for his swift response and apologies to those of you who have tested under a previous release who now have to re-test.

BTW - how do I get my game listed in the "list of games" ?

By the way, where did the data get stored, then? In user's home directory? :?

A trick question!

If Ren'Py can't write the saves directory, it will not save the persistent data, and it will throw an error if the user attempts to save his game. (So you need to disable the save screen in the game menu.)
