My fonts also change slightly as well after updating to 6.15. It's not a big deal but is it possible to change it back to how it looks in 6.14?

I don't think so. 6.15 is linked against a newer version of freetype - I don't know if there would be a way to change it back without going back to the older freetype version, which is not something I want to do.

I see. Then I'll just have to change some numbers and it should be fine. Thanks for the answer!

Can you send me the font on the bottom, the one that's having problems?

Here it is, its a comic book font that is not comic sans. It seems to add space after the letter I, but not enough space after the letter E.

I'm also having serious display troubles in 6.15 using these fonts.

I don't know if this topic is dedicated to bug reports, but it might be nice to know about what's going right too, even if it's a little thing.

Thank you very much for fixing sprite replacement during ATL in 6.15. (This thing if you're curious) It makes life easier when I don't have to put a $ renpy.pause() whenever I can't figure out why I'm getting an index error; and taking out those $ renpy.pause statements make rollback less sticky, too.

I'm aiming for 6.15.5 Real Soon Now - tonight, if all goes well.

It's mostly bug fixes, but I did add in additive blending (with a bunch of caveats) and a new Flatten displayable.

And that's the other feature I've been really looking forward to. Rock on!

The big caveat on additive blending is that it won't work on the software renderer - and I leave it up to creators to deal with that.

I'm not going to get the official release out tonight. If you really want to play with 6.15.5, you can get it from here:

http://www.renpy.org/dl/6.15.5/

or by switching to the experimental channel and updating. I need to spend some time tomorrow testing, and if that goes well, this will become the official 6.15.5.

6.15.5.354 has been released as Ren'Py 6.15.5.

New features:

* Additive blending, but only in the GL and DirectX/ANGLE renderers.

* The new Flatten displayable, which combines multiple textures into one.

Bug/Build fixes:

* Before this release, Ren'Py produced zip files with unix modes that were writable by all users. If unzipped by a program that ignored the umask (like info-zip), the files could be overwritten by other users, causing a security problem.

This problem only existed on unix-like systems that are shared by multiple users.

* Ren'Py once again uses freetype auto-hinting when displaying fonts.

* Ren'Py builds with the current libav (and ffmpeg).
