combat system coding help

ok, im making an Anime RPG game based on a TV series called "Avatar The Last Airbender" and i want to make a turn based combat system using menu's. could someone help me set one up please. and id be glad to give credit. thanks. and this is also my 1st post and my 2nd game so i really need help please.
in a perfect world those who can do it teach others how to do it. but were not in a perfect world. So were primarily stuck with teachers who don't kno jack.

Thanks for the support! As i said before im new to script writing so a lot of this is really new to me. And also Nafai. If you would like i could send you a beta when/if one gets done. hopefully it's a matter of WHEN tho. ^.^

I'm also curious about the your first game...

As for the battle system, I highly recommend kamiomi's (version 3)...it's got everything already included, in fact if you like the system you just need to replace the graphics.

Actually I started the idea as a bulliten RPG for myspace and we recently finished up due to so many people having to leave. So i decided to take screen pics from the series, cut out the characters and work on the RPG story from the group! ^.^ It's still a rough idea and it isn't exactly fully thought out. I'm actually working on TWO ren'py games. the titles are

Star Trek: Valiant
(Based on my fanfilm)

Avatar: RPG
(based on my RPG group)

As i said I am not really good with coding yet so if anyone would like to help out with combat systems or graphic design please Personal Message me and I'll let you know what i can do.

As to using Kamiomi's battle system for Avatar I feel it is not the right kind of HUD that would be needed. I'll photoshop somethin up and post it ASAP.

Thanks! ^.^ My main problem a-t-m is just getting the images. I decided since i can't draw with a GUN to my head i had to pull a GTA style move. Use screen-caps to cut them out and import them -_-* annoying....as....ever. so if anyone would like to help with the art??? anyone???? I can do changes to the mouth and the like. but the actual bodies and such don't work out to well.....

I looked a little further into coding for the battle system of kamiomi's RPG battle system and i'm going to do a bit of editing on it. If i can make it more Star Trek based it would work briliantly for it. Just change words like "attack" to "fire phasers" and"run away" to "evasive manuvers" or "warp away". :) so hopefully i'll have a useable demo for that kind of battle usage!
