How to create a chat board within a game?

I'm creating a game where I want people who use it to be able to chat to each other on a chat board. I thought it would be possible since you can add mini games and all. However I don't know how to or where to start. Can anyone help me please?

You mean a chat board that makes it look as if the player is talking with the in-game characters?
I guess, that could be possible, by defining certain keywords for the in-game characters to react to and otherwise make the charas reply with vague answers.

Or do you mean, where I as a player can talk to you as a player with?
Because THAT might be pretty difficult (or even impossible, I am not that big of a scripter). Ren'Py would need to get a full script for a simple chat. It would need to be able to get access to the internet without opening a external page. For specials like maybe a login to register a specific nickname per player, it might be even bigger.


Also:
why do you want that?
You can put a chat just on the website where you advertise your game, right?
Or is it essentially important for the game to be able to have a conversation with other players all the time?

I meant a chat board where you literally chat to other users using the internet. I need this as the game I'm writing is quite unique...
