I've released Ren'Py 6.3.2 "Wheel of Fire". The big new feature in this release is extensibility, both through user-defined displayables and through the renpygame framework. This release also includes lint support, a debugger that can be accessed through shift+D, and several other improvements and fixes.
Downloads and a full release announcement can be found at:

The DSE is no longer distributed with Ren'Py. Along with renpygame, it can be downloaded from our new frameworks page:

Re: Ren'Py 6.3.2 Pre-released
Let's see. The pong minigame has been rewritten to use user-defined displayables, rather than the old minigame infrastructure.
You can download renpygame from the Frameworks page, listed above. In it, there's a simple 2-D shooter that came with pygame, that I inserted into the renpygame frameworks. This will serve as an example game until IPS is done-ish.

Re: Ren'Py 6.3.2 Pre-released
Upgraded for Noctua and ran through my story fine without any difficulties. It was a bit faster and smoother with this release.
Thank you.
Thank you.

I'm really excited about this release! The user defined displayables will be simply awesome!

Re: Ren'Py 6.3.2 Released
Hey, Tom -
Just wanted to say that it's great that you are still working on and updating the Ren'Py project! Been out of the loop for a while, and it's great to look up Ren'Py months (and months) later and find out that not only is it still around, but there's a lot of new stuff and a ton of catching up to do!
I, for one, need to get seriously up to speed with elements such as the DSE and, of course, all of the additions since the last time I looked at/downloaded the engine.
And who knows... one of these days, I might even get around to putting a game together! (Now there's a scary thought...)

Life is hard.
Except in ren'ai games.
Then it's a whole lot softer.

Re: Ren'Py 6.3.2 Released
Just flavor text nitpicking but in the demo features choice some sections version number are outdated compared to their subsections.
