Hello all. I'm quite the avid Supercollider live coder - I make algorithmic music - and was wondering if anyone else had thought about the possibilities of using Supercollider in conjunction with Renpy to create a game where interactions can affect sound. I've used Supercollider with Processing before to create visuals triggered by sound by sending/receiving OSC messages and apparently you can do the same thing in Python. I think this would be a really cool idea for a game where different actions could affect all kinds of aspects of the music. Some actions could create rhythms, others could create pitch. Some actions could make the music more tonal, others could make it more atonal and dissonant. There are lots and lots of possibilites.
I haven't actually looked that deeply into this yet; I just wanted to make a post seeing if anyone else would be interested in this kind of thing or if anyone has actually tried it at all. If I get the chance to experiment I'll post the results in this thread!
Apologies if this is posted in the wrong section. I wasn't sure where to put this.

Re: Renpy integration with Supercollider
It seems doable. I probably wouldn't add it to Ren'Py proper, but if you need help integrating, let me know. It will be way easier to get this working if you can find a pure-python client.

Re: Renpy integration with Supercollider
It would be awesome if you could make it! I'd like to see it's results and use it too.
