How do I make a Character Gallery!

So I've been trying to make a character gallery but I just can't do it.
Could someone please help me make a simple one from scratch for just my characters.
(I don't really need to put backgrounds in it.)
Sorry, I'm totally new to this stuff and I'm trying to make my first visual novel.
Any help is appreciated.

What I would do is create an image gallery

http://www.renpy.org/doc/html/rooms.html

that is specifically for images of your characters. I recommend making special game-window-sized images and using them, for examples of such images see here:
