Sprites flash to the top-left corner before moving

#1 Post by Ivlivs »

Pytom or anyone else, I'm having a very strange problem with my game's graphics.

Whenever I move a sprite, it always flashes to the top-left corner before moving. The still sprite at the start, the sprite in motion, and the sprite at the end all have the same tag so I don't need to type "hide whatever" all the time.

This video demonstrates the problem. It is especially noticeable near the end.

EDIT: I'm running Ren'Py 6.99, but this problem was even in 6.17 (the version I released Parasite Lance under) and 6.18.

Without a small replication, there's very little chance I can figure this out.

I've e-mailed you a replication. The subject line is (Ivlivs here: The "flashing image in the left corner" bug) without parentheses.
