Sprites differ in size in different game resolution
Perhaps this is a dumb question. So I'm remaking my game in a larger resolution size and was using the same sized sprites. However, the sprites seem to have shrunken in the larger res game. Attached is the image. I've used the same code as well and made sure both games were at their window size. I can't figure out why that is though.

The sprites actually haven't changed in size, and that's the problem. Your resolution has more pixels now, but your same-size sprites don't. You'll need to change the scaling of the images themselves, in accordance with your resolution change.
So if you've gone from 800*600 to 1024*768 (for example), you'll need to scale each image up by a factor of 1.28. The simplest way to do that is to use this code on loading each image:

Re: Sprites differ in size in different game resolution
I still wasn't convinced (no offense). I upped the sprites size since I always draw them large fortunately, and still it was smaller in the game. Then after discussing it with another friend we sorta figured it out. Testing it on a 24 inch monitor, the game was back to normal size images. So my 13 inch laptop was auto-shrinking the game, hence the size and quality shrinkage. I'm a bit worried how this will affect any players that play the game on a small monitor like mine, oh well....
