Text Outline problems

#1 Post by Maverynthia »

So I outlined my text as described in the docs:

Code: Select all

style.default.outlines = [(2, "#000000", 0, 0)]
BUT I'm getting some weirdness on letters that drop below the line:

Image

Namely the black covers them like the 'y' and the 'g'.

What version of Ren'Py are you using? There was a fix to this in a recent version.

I was using an older version when I started, then it wanted to update so I let it update and reload... soo.. 6.99.4.467
I'm on the "Release" updates, not Prerelease/beta/etc.

(On another note I had a problem loading some fonts as the default font and had to use another font first, run the game, and then copy paste in the font I wanted. Don't know if it's related since the font in the screenshot was the font I had to 'copy paste' in as it would just default to DejaVuSans even though I had it set to that font.)
