Any Good Ren'Py Guides for Noobs?

#1 Post by greenace »

Hey~

Does anyone know when this website will be up and running again?
http://www.otome-games.com/index.php/ma ... otome-game

Or does anyone have a copy of the guide?
I've seen a lot of people on the forums recommending this guide to people who are new to Ren'Py and I really want to take a look at it.

Does anyone know of any guides that are just as good?
And yes I have read the quickstart and some of the documentation, I've also taken a look at the Ren'Py tutorial but I still get confused. I need a noob friendly guide in other words... TTwTT

Thanks!

You could try reverse engineering a game to see how it works. There is a demo game called The Question that is bundled with Renpy that you can look at.

You will find an up to date Quickstart in Ren'Py documentation: http://www.renpy.org/doc/html/quickstar ... quickstart
and a lot of demonstrations on the Ren'Py Tutorial Game.

Look at the Ren'Py launcher then play The tutorial.
Hope it helps!
