Ren'Py tutorial buttons don't display properly

Specifically, the buttons that let you choose what you want to learn about. The text does not appear and the image button itself is off. (By the way, I hope this is the right forum as I was unsure where to place this :3 ) I have tended to ignore the issue as I just go to the Ren'Py wiki to look up information, but I figure getting help to solve this might be helpful in case this happens again to me. Also, if there are new features, I'd like to be able to see how they work. ^_^ My computer only does this issue to this particular screen. Not on any other so far. I have the latest Ren'Py and this has been happening since when I first used Ren'Py with 6.17.5...
Any suggestions will be helpful.
Thank you in advance! ^_^

Last I've seen this, it was an issue with a graphical driver. See if you can find a more modern or alternative version to the one you have.

Would not surprise me that the driver is the problem as it is occurring on my 6 year old laptop... I just found it interesting that this was the only screen it occurred on. Instead of replacing the driver, I have been debating on building my own shiny new desktop as a future investment to replace this one.
Thank you again for your input!

6 years is not that old. This can be fixed in most cases, usually even if you have the latest driver from your "brand" site (lenovo/acer/hp and etc.) it is not actually the latest driver available because they all stop releasing drivers after a couple of years. More often than not, more recent drivers can be found if you google the name of the gpu itself (like nvidia/ati/intel).
You could also try switching between OpenGL/Dx/Software rendering but that didn't solve this problem even once and I've had it on one of my laptops and offered advice to others when they got the same thing.
