Resolution Stretching

#1 Post by Dharker »

Hi, hopefully this is an easy question to answer.

I want to create a game that is fullscreen only, no windows mode and want to make it with full 4K art and resolution.

If i set the game to have a 4k resolution size e.g. 3840x2160

Would renpy be fine with creating a game that size and secondly if someone played the game on a smaller monitor. Would it auto scale down for them, as it would be in a fullscreen format. Or would they not be able to see part of the game screen due to its size?

You'd have to try it. There's no natural limit, but I don't know how well it will run on various people's hardware. It will scale if OpenGL is supported.
