Re: best way to capture a video from a renpy game.
I've tested all different wayt I can set up game capture but it didn't work, and I can't find: stretch image to screen
funny thing is: it shows the game while it's minimized but when I go back to the game it captures just the desktop. I guess I'll have to forget the full screen capture for now.

Oh, the stretch image thing. Right click the video box, under the transform tab. That is where you want to go for that.

For those who use OBS to stream...do you use one or two monitors?
A Close Shave:
*Last Thing Done (Aug 17): Finished coding emotions and camera for 4/10 main labels.
*Currently Doing: Coding of emotions and camera for the labels--On 5/10
*First Next thing to do: Code in all CG and special animation stuff
*Next Next thing to do: Set up film animation
*Other Thing to Do: Do SFX and Score (maybe think about eye blinks?) Check out My Clock Cookbook Recipe: http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewto ... 51&t=21978

Two monitors at least, three for the best.trooper6 wrote:For those who use OBS to stream...do you use one or two monitors?
One monitor just for desktop capture. Second one is for OBS and chat tabs. Third for alerts, donations, and other off-screen browsing.

My T.V. plus four monitors. All the gaming goes on the Tele, and everything else is on the others. (With no specific category.)

If it's any consolation, I can stream with one monitor using OBS.trooper6 wrote:Holey Moley! That is a lot of monitors!

*Is conforming to be PC peasantdorne wrote:If it's any consolation, I can stream with one monitor using OBS.trooper6 wrote:Holey Moley! That is a lot of monitors!
*Just kidding, it doesn't matter*
Yeah I can use one, but I do so much. Program, art, writing, and watching/playing the games I work on(or buy). I run so much stuff, putting it on one to three monitors is hard. It can cause awful headaches.
When I was a hardcore gamer, one was for my console. The others were for algorithms. I am super happy I left that hectic scene. Although being a single indie dev is nearly as chaotic, there isn't a lose condition!

Sorry if it's a little derailing from the topic... but how do you connect more than 3 monitors in one PC? Do you use multiple GPU setup? and what are the pros & cons of doing it? (especially it's impact on game playing/recording/streaming)NialGrenville wrote:My T.V. plus four monitors. All the gaming goes on the Tele, and everything else is on the others. Re: best way to capture a video from a renpy game.
*To answer a risky question*
*Hopefully I do not hijack the thread*
I don't really remember. I have the article I read to do it bookmarked. Here. I just eventually let my grandfather do it. Since I was quite new to PC.
It did not impact my PC when It was made, but it does now, which is much later in its life. I can not run Dying light, BOII, and TF2 at once. (I used to run CS:GO, BOII, and skyrim all at once back in the day.) Just have to update it if I want too play them at once. I got rid of 3 of my GTX 1080s. So if that tells you anything, it is probably: "IF you want that many monitors without lag while playing games. It will cost a lot." It took me a long time to get all that stuff. (I only use two monitors for playing games now. If I even play.)

I wish I could see what you're seeing, but I'm sure with some more tinkering you may get it to work eventually. I know the software gets finicky at times. Best of luck to you!Kia wrote:I've tested all different wayt I can set up game capture but it didn't work, and I can't find: stretch image to screen

Re: best way to capture a video from a renpy game.
Don't mean to revive an old thread, but this might help someone.
I was having the same problem today, and then I change the source from display capture to game capture and selected "any full screen application" for the mode.
That solved the problem for me.
I had 2 monitors in my setup so I was able to check what OBS was able to capture in real-time.
