Ok, so if I do this...
Code: Select all
scene bg washingnton
show eileen with pushleft
Both Eileen and the background will push left at the same time. But I can't get it to have two characters push left into the scene with the background.
I tried just stacking them, like...
Code: Select all
scene bg washington
show eieen
show lucy with pushleft
...but what I get is the new bg and eileen flash in place of the old background, then are pushed left with lucy and another one of the new background.
I've tried putting them on the same line with an 'and' statement... no go.
I've tried doing a parallel... also no go... though I'm probably doing it wrong. I've searched the documentation for anything obvious, but got nothin.
There once was a language called Ren'Py
that made all the wannabes cry... with joy.
It gave them the power,
they spent every hour,
to finish a game, or die.

Code: Select all
scene bg washington
with None
show eileen
show lucy
with pushleft
This will show scene bg washington without any effects and then show both eileen and luci with transform.

gas.
Do you mean, just select any of the same transform, and use that one, or define my own?

I mean to declare the same exact transform on all the things each, to have them show at the same time with the same transform.

Just to let you know that I have no issue with having multiple sprites and background transition at the same time using the following:
Code: Select all
scene bg washington
show eileen
show lucy
with pushleft
I can only manage to replicate the flash of the new background before the transition by add "with None" transition to "scene bg washington".
Could you show us the code around the area of the issue? Perhaps you could try to create a new project and use the code above to see if it's working, and the error is elsewhere.

Divona. You're my hero for today. Well, so is gas, but for this thread, you're the one!
For some reason, you hold all the magicks that always solve my many problems.
Apparently, having the 'with' statement on the next line was the difference. That's the only change I made and poof (!!) it all worked.
I didn't think that method was treated any different than having it on the previous line with the second character, but I guess it makes sense. I'd assumed that people did that just to save line space or something like that.
My apologies to Ocelot for misunderstanding him. My assumption made me use his solution incorrectly, and it would have worked.
I'm a spaz.
Thanks again!
