Ren'Py 6.99.12.4 Released

#1 Post by PyTom »

I've released Ren'Py 6.99.12.4, just in time for NaNoRenO here in the US. (But most of a day late for the rest of the world - sorry about that.)

This is largely a bugfix release for 6.99.12, but it fixes a number of major bugs, ranging from a problem that prevented renpy.input from working with the new GUI, to a crash with video on Android, to a glitch with clipping on certain scaled systems.

It also adds some improvements. The console (accessed with shift+O) has been rewritten, and it's also been made accessible from the error handling screen. Ren'Py now integrates better with the Steam overlay, so you can expect the overlay to be more responsive. Audio fadeouts now work better with looping tracks by spanning track boundaries.

A list of changes that may require you to update your game can be found at:

Thanks to everyone who reported bugs and contributed code, translations, and documentations. And thanks to everyone who chooses Ren'Py for their NaNoRenO project - it's your use that makes the time spent tracking down obscure bugs worth it. Good luck, and I look forward to seeing what you make.
