Trouble with getting the right Video Format/Codecs

Hey, idk if this is the right thread to post in but I couldn't find. one regarding general help, so I'll settle down here unless a mod says so.

Basically, I'm trying to get this whole movie mumbo jumbo to work, but since I'm using Final Cut Pro, I can't export in any of the required file formats or codecs, and looking for converters to FP9 or ogg/vorbis isn't working out too well.

Does anyone have a safe method for getting the right video formats without splashing money out on video converting software?

How about saving your video as avi/raw, then use virtualdub to export it to ogv?
You'll need a large HDD space to save video as uncompressed avi though...

I looked into virtualdub, and it isn't compatible with my Mac or W10 setup:( thanks for the suggestion though.

Are Handbrake or xMedia-recode compatible?

Outputting to uncompressed AVI and then compressing that, is generally the correct method.

I was able to take my video (I made it into an mp4 first because alot of online video conversion sites don't allow importing of files larger than 200MB) and converted it to webm format and it plays just perfectly in my game!
