If more details are needed, I'll ask her. She's interested in playing around in the program. Can you limit story progression to real-time passing? Like is possible in it to make it so you can only proceed after enough time has passed? W/ the game closed, so I guess it would be reading the computer calendar and time.

Re: Ren'Py Real Time Capabilities?
It should be doable. There's a thread that might help your friend here: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=37939
If you're limiting the time by something shorter (i.e: a few minutes) that the player has to wait out you can set it to an in-game timer.

Re: Ren'Py Real Time Capabilities?
Christine Love's Hate Plus is made in Ren'Py and does some of the things your friend wants, so it is certainly doable.
A Close Shave:
*Last Thing Done (Aug 17): Finished coding emotions and camera for 4/10 main labels.
*Currently Doing: Coding of emotions and camera for the labels--On 5/10
*First Next thing to do: Code in all CG and special animation stuff
*Next Next thing to do: Set up film animation
*Other Thing to Do: Do SFX and Score (maybe think about eye blinks?) Check out My Clock Cookbook Recipe: http://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/viewto ... 51&t=21978
