Hey i'm trying to add some rain to my scene, now in the previous scene i had it in it was working fine but no matter what i did i can't get the rain to show up in the second scene.
Here's my rain code
Code: Select all
image rain:
"rain1.png"
0.2
"rain2.png"
0.2
"rain3.png"
0.2
repeat
my code that uses the rain
Code: Select all
show parkshopnight
show rain
story "I had just gotten into a fight with my parents."
story "In my rage i burst out of the house in the pouring rain."
show playgroundnight
show rain
story "I guess it was by pure instinct but in my rage i ran without stopping all the way to the playground."
story "Once i was there i had no idea what i was going to do."

Any particular reason you are using show parkshopnight rather than scene bg parkshopnight?
If parkshopnight and playgroundnight are fullscreen bgs, you should be using scene. The scene keyword clears everything and set up the new scene.
So what is currently happening in your game with your code? You show parkshopnight. Then you show the rain on top of it. Then you show playgroundnight, which goes on top of the other two images, which don't go anywhere because you neither hid them or made a new scene. Then you show rain--but rain is already being shown, it is just under the image playgroundnight.
So I think you need to declare your bgs as bgs, and use the scene command. If you won't do that, then you have to manually hide your images when you want them to go away.
A Close Shave:
