Hello! I am working on a game that I would like to implement a sliding menu (sort of like how Ebihime did in her NaNoReNo game, Where the Sun Always Shines: https://itch.io/jam/nanoreno-2017/rate/131004).
I want to take the menu at the bottom of the screen shot shown below, and hide it during the actual game/story. When the player hovers over a button, the entire menu will slide up and into view! Then, when they click on any button from the menu, it would bring up the actual menu.
Does anyone know a way to do either of this in Ren'Py? I sifted through the Ren'Py Cookbook forum, but I'm kind of a dummy when it comes to all things code and didn't find anything that seemed to match what I am trying to do here.
Any thoughts/ideas would be much appreciated!

Try this, I think you might be able to use a transform to slide the imagemap in from the bottom.

I wasn't really liking how the previous way I had it was looking, and I think this is a lot simpler and easier!!
But seriously, thank you for sharing this code with me!! I will keep this in mind the next time I want to try having this type of transform to slide effect in my menus
