Trying to open New Project, looking for Projects Directory?

#1 Post by Elsilrac28 »

I downloaded Ren'Py today, and I can launch the opening page as well as the tutorial and The Question, but when I try to launch a new project, it asks for "Projects Directory" and leads me to the renpy file, of which I don't see a "programs" folder. The launcher looks different in online tutorials, so what did I do wrong?

(I also know very little about computers other than basic coding, so a simple solution could very well be the problem)

Thank you!

It is asking you where to make one. You need one with plenty of space. For example C:\\user\desktop\renpy

Have you done the

[ + Create New Project] (near lower left)

bit?
After doing that and confirming the options it should add your new project to the list above Tutorial and The Question.

Not too sure where your 'hiccup' is occuring... Create New or Launch New?
