Hello! After slaving in After Effects trying to figure out how to work it, I managed to make a gif that'll move when people hover over their options!
(It's not supposed to loop, but it is supposed to be more transparent. I'll probably fix it up a bit more later.)
The problem is, I usually just change the names of my files to fit the default. But I can't do that since the default name is choice_hover_background.png. I need to make it so it's a .gif, does anyone know how? Or is there another approach I have to take to make this work?
Thanks so much for your help!
Animated hover for choices.

Re: Animated hover for choices.
Use a series of PNGs instead and combine them in Ren'Py using ATL. The documentation has great details on this.

Re: Animated hover for choices.
Sorry it took me a minute to reply! I think I understand how to put them together as an animation, but I don't know where I should put it in my code.
