I don't know what these are called so when I tried googling them, I couldn't find out. But I want to know how I can customize the (back, history save load). I read how customize the text box in the documentation but it doesn't say how to change this other then the text font. (And if it did say how to, I didn't understand.)
I really want to make those shortcuts up into buttons that matches the text box. Do I do something in screens. rpy? (Sorry, I'm pretty much a noob.) Can I use an image for them?
(I'm working on a cute pet 911 emergency vn as my first vn. And while I don't mind just having it like the default like that for this game. I want to know for any future games.)

Those buttons are called the "quick menu" and you're right that they're in screens.rpy:

You can edit this section just like any other screen, so you should be able to add an image in there if you like.
