Weird maximize/ minimize bug

#1 Post by Kinmoku »

Hi all,

I don't know what I've done to my game but when I launch it in Ren'Py it immediately minimizes, then maximises, then minimises etc etc.I have no idea why :? My other projects load fine, and all I've been editing recently are images and localisation files.

I'm just wondering if anyone has encountered this before, before I go checking every line of code to find out what's going on.

Thanks.

I've attached some of the log.txt. You can see at the bottom the window minimizing and restoring, but I've no idea why it's doing that on its own :?

* I tried my previous project and that does the same thing (even though it worked before). But, it only bugged out 4 times, then remained open. I was able to switch the settings to "windowed" and now the game loads up fine.

Of course, I switched it back to fullscreen and the issue came back. Argh, I'm so confused!

I've come to it today and it seems to be working again! I'm very confused and sadly can't provide much insight into what happened in case anyone else experiences it, but for now, it seems to be fixed :?

I spoke too soon... It's back, and I even went back and edited my previous build :? FYI I'm on Mac. If anyone has experienced this, please let me know :(

Edit: I just checked other Ren'Py games on my Steam account, and they're behaving the same way (if the game's loaded in fullscreen anyway). So it seems like it's not a code issue, rather a "renpy on my Mac" issue. Hmm.

What Mac OS do you have? Macs (as usual lol) have a lot of weird issues. I remember one of my games doing this and it was because of an "old" MacOS version. When the user updated to a newer OS, problem went away.

I'm using MacOS Sierra Version 10.12.6. Just going to check for any updates... Hmm.

Edit: There was an update available but sadly it's made no difference :(
