I'm new to Ren'Py (obviously) and Python as well. It's totally different from what I'm used to. A lot of it is straightforward, but some of it just doesn't click and I'm not really sure how to come up with solutions to some simple problems.
So, I'd like to have a screen dedicated to showing a short chapter image/animation, but I'm not sure how I'd go about it. Ideally I'd want it to be separate from the dialogue screen, but screen language is 100% beyond me at the moment (I can't really find any good examples about what's required to make a screen function and how to use it properly, the documentation is a little vague).
If there's a way easier solution -- like just hiding the UI and fiddling around behind the scenes -- I'd be very okay with that too!
(Note: I'm using the new GUI.)
