Patch for game help

I'm trying to fix typos in dialogue in a game, but I realize that if I recompile what I have and push it, the players will have to play from a whole new file and their saves will be totally wiped. Is there someway for me to patch the game and have players not start from scratch?

Fix typos in dialogue shouldn't affect or wipe the save files. If you're worried, you can just patch only "scripts.rpc" or just the archived file (*.rpa) if you archived the game.

There's also renpy's update feature.
You will require a web server of some sort for this though.
