Cupcake customization help. Forget it i guess

I tried to consult some dress up tutorials in the cookbook but after a couple hours I can not seem to figure out what to do. So I was wondering if someone could teach me.
I have arrows for left and right.
there's supposed to be two pairs.
one for tops and one for icing.
I have a cupcake base titled "base"
then there's top1 and top2
and I have icing1, icing2, and icing3
I tried to download and edit example code in a dress up tutorial but I couldn't really get that to work. Thank you for your time.
