connect to camera?

#1 Post by ChillTaco »

There is a part of the game that I want the game to automatically open the users camera and then close it after a few seconds. You know. For fun.
If its not possible thats ok. Ill just have to toss one jump scare idea in the bin.

'open a users camera'
What camera
What will you do with it

I assume you wanted to export your game to Android and have whatever is shown on the front camera for a brief moment, as a background?

yea something like that. But I have been messing around with ahhh ummm importing a video capture module but its being a real pain in the butt. Everytime I figure out one problem another comes up. I just wanted to open a small screen in the game that would show the player through their camera if they had one for a few seconds then close it. Or just turn on the camera snap a picture, then the game use the img as a bg like what you were saying.

But damn its hard. Code is hard. I dont like this idea anymore.

long story short, the programming power of copy and paste has failed me.

Though if someone has a better idea of how to do this Im all ears.
