Nowadays it has become common use to pass the save between players and, for those who have no facility in the use of develop console, is forced to play with the name of the MC given by another person.
I would like to give my players the possibility to change MC name using "Preferences" , is that possible?

Yes, it is possible. Add a "change name" button, which would be active only in-game, which will ask for input normally.
