I recently downloaded Ren'Py on my Mac, and am having problems getting the program to allow coding.
In order to open the .exe file, I had to download an .exe file opener called, "WineBottler". (I could not find the quickstart suggested format, renpy-<version>). I got the program to open, and I could even create projects and change color settings for the background. However, whenever I tried opening the script editors, I encountered this message:
An error has occurred:
This account does not have permission to perform an update.
Am I doing something wrong, or am I not downloading it the correct way?
Cannot Open Script Editor for Projects (Using a Mac)

Re: Cannot Open Script Editor for Projects (Using a Mac)
UPDATE:
I opened the filed that just said, "renpy" instead of "renpy.exe", and there were no problems with the script editors.

If you want to run Ren'Py on the mac, run the mac version. I'm not supporting an emulated version of it.
