Hi guys,
Did any of you experience renpy.input() not working on Android 8.0?
Some of our players are saying that they can't get past the screen to input a text using renpy.input(), and all of them are on Android 8.0.
FYI - I've used RenPy 6.99.14. Is there a possibility that the issue will be resolved if I use RenPy 7.0?

I remember seeing this issue crop up a couple of times, always related to Android 8.0
There is currently work being done to upgrade the Android API level to 28, which may fix the issue.
This is expected to be released with Ren'Py 7.1, so is currently not available.

I am facing the very same issue. Most Android 8 players (me included) and some Android 7 players cannot get past the input screen unless they add a space after the input text, which also weirdly counts as if nothing was input. Everything is up to date (I even uninstalled / redownloaded everything which did not solve the problem), so I really don't know what else to do. Has anyone solved this issue?
