App crushes immediately after launching on android

#1 Post by backansi »

I've made my game and published it to Google play store but when launching it pops up the error message.
Following is the error message:

SDL ERROR
An error occurred while trying to start the application. Please try again and/or reinstall.
Error: dlopen failed: library "/home/tom/ab/android/native/obj/local/armeabi/libpython2.7.so" not found

I've upload it through play console after I edited .android.json file to change "target_version": 26 since google play console says api level 26 required.

It occurs various device but not on android emulator.

You cannot just *pretend* the SDK / API is a certain version...

Google recently changed their minimum version requirements which basically means Ren'Py cannot port to Android through the Google Play interface at this moment.

Tom is working overtime on this and, afaik, expects a working build within the coming week... So, please just be patient...

Hopefully he will spot this thread and add a bit more specific information. (aka correct my spurious interpretation)

If you import your game into Android Studio, you can change the version of your app there.

As Remix said, I really dont know if it would be enough to get a game working, but you can try. I changed my app version from 10 to 14 this way and everything is fine. But my game was published before the deadline, so I will need to change to Version 28 only november.

If you want to know how to import your game into Android Studio, follow the first 3 steps of this guide.
