Bad resolution problem of videos with Android distribution

#1 Post by deltadidirac » Wed Jun 26, 2019 2:19 am

Hi all,
when I built the different distributions of the game, testing the Android one, this problem appeared:

in general the setting of dialogues, buttons, and images has not undergone alterations or particular losses in quality, but when there are videos on the screen a series of horizontal lines appear alternating with vertical green and red lines and all the colors are completely staggered ....
(I used the same video.mp4 file for all versions)

My question is if I have to create a video with a different extension and quality for the use of Android, or is it a problem of my personal tablet, which is of medium-low quality and therefore cannot process data? (I think it's more the first)

thanks

mp4 is not a supported video container. It may work, it may not.
Please see this link to the documentation for further information.

Also, see this link for additional information about Android.

And this link for Android specific video formats.

(TL;DR, use vp8 or vp9 in an mkv container with ogg vorbis or Opus audio)
