It's a prerelease. If you could check it out, I'd appreciate it.
I'm happy to announce the prerelease of Ren'Py 7.3.3. This release is intended to improve performance and compatibility, fix bugs, and make available minor features that have been added since Ren'Py 7.3.2 was released.
Some highlights are:
- An audio directory that allows audio files to define themselves, similar to images.
- The ability for Ren'Py to accept audio files generated at runtime.
- A lowering of the version of android needed to run Ren'Py.
- Many improvements to Web platform support.
- Improved render-to-texture performance.
- The ability of renpy.input to take custom screens.
- Ren'Py is now signed and notarized to run on macOS.
Downloads of 7.3.3 can be found at:
https://www.renpy.org/release/7.3.3
A full list of changes to Ren'Py can be found at:
https://www.renpy.org/dev-doc/html/changelog.html
A list of changes that may require you to update your game can be found at:
https://www.renpy.org/dev-doc/html/incompatible.html
Please also check out the
credits and
sponsor list.
The first prerelease is 7.3.3.554.
One of the biggest things is a new implementation of render-to-texture taken from 7.4, which should be faster. If possible, please run this on your computer, launch the tutorial, and make sure dissolves are working properly.

UI Elements look blurry in 7.3.3, unless that's intentional but I don't think so? Might be a problem related to my PC resolution, and I realize it's very hard to notice on the screenshots, but it's happening.
On the pics, 7.3.2 is running on the left, 7.3.3 on the right.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

Can someone get me launcher/log.txt for blurry UI elements? That will help me figure out what's going wrong. (Though I already have an idea, I can't repeat the problem here.)

7.3.3.561)
This has a couple of fixes to it. The first is to the "ui elements look blurry" thing there - which really had to do with subpixel positioning not working right, especially when applied to drawable resolution text. Thanks to RicharDann for sending me the log.txt, it was instrumental in me tracking down the problem.
The second fix is to a problem with installing the Android SDK. That's been fixed, and things are working now.
There's was also a little more work done with the signing and notarization of Ren'Py itself, which shouldn't affect anyone.
Anyway, please check this out to make sure the problems are fixed.

I can confirm the ui problem is fixed.
I also tested the new audio and input features and they are all working fine. Great additions, by the way, they will be very helpful for my current project.
Thank you so much, PyTom!

It seems that imagemap are slowing down when hovered a little more than usual (although I may be wrong). Can be tested in a tutorial project.

I haven't been able to repeat this using the tutorial. It seems to take about the same amount of time that 7.0 took. It's possible this can be improved, but my thinking is I'd rather work on this in the GL rewrite than holding 7.3.3 up for it, since it doesn't seem to be a regression.

I understand.
I'll add from myself that the problem is probably not in Renpy but my computer. There are irreparable problems with the graphics card...
Anyway, I have built a
test project and recorded the problem (
video 1).
In the
second video, I made changes to the graphics settings.
If you have free time, you can take a look.)
