Discuss how to use the Ren'Py engine to create visual novels and story-based games. New releases are announced in this section.
This is the right place for Ren'Py help. Please ask one question per thread, use a descriptive subject like 'NotFound error in option.rpy' , and include all the relevant information - especially any relevant code and traceback messages. Use the code tag to format scripts.

I was wondering if we could make Ren'Py save the game on a private server (Apache)?
So that when a player save its game, he can go on another computer and resume his game where it was.
I have read a post about Steam cloud save with this note from @PyTom:

Note that due to the complexity of Ren'Py, the Ren'Py save format is insecure. That means that if one system is compromised, sync could be used to propagate that attack to another system. You need to decide if that's a risk that should be taken.
But it was in 2015, and it would be on a private server this time.
Is that doable?
Thank you for your answers!
