Broken images after switching the screen mode

I have a weird problem with my RenPy game, and I'm not even sure what causes it. When you launch the game normally it just works as intended, whether in fullscreen or windowed mode, but if you try to change fullscreen to windowed or another way around, some of the images disappear and other end up in weird places. What am I supposed to do with it?

That was a strange problem. I have no idea what could cause that.
If you provide a bit more information maybe it would be easier for someone to spot what could be the problem.
Ren'py version number can be a useful information sometimes.
You are showing two game menu pages. Is that where the problem shows up? Or could it be in the game itself too?
The game menus look like they are standard set up. It looks like you have not done anything with the code for those pages. Is that correct?
Have you added any code to style the game or change standard functions?
That was some stuff I could think of that might help to identify the problem.

Thank you, Per K Grok. I'm new to RenPy and this thing puzzles me beyond belief.

It's 7.3.3.

Unfortunately, it does appear in-game as well, but in a weird way: some of the images are missing and the others are just fine. The dialogue panels also stop being transparent after the switch and become black.

Yes, the only thing I've changed is font. Other than that, everything is in default settings.

No, I didn't.

The default textbox background is depending on color choice when setting up the project either black, going towards transparency in either end of the box or white with the same kind of transparency. The background comes from an image in the gui folder named textbox.png.
So did you some styling to get a transparent background? When you get the black background does it have the going to transparency at the sides of the box?
It seems unlikely this has anything to do with your problem, but it is the only thing I can see in your answers that gives anything to examine.
On a different note. One thing you could test is to reinstall ren'py.

The problem solved by updating RenPy to a newer version. It would've been nice to know what caused the issue in the first place, but I'll take what I could. Thank you for your time.

Glad it worked out, for I sure didn't know what to do about it.
