When I look at Ren'Py, I see a relatively safe environment that at least makes an attempt at sectioning off hentai and non-hentai works.
When I look at Novelty's site, the first thing I see is the drawing of a young girl with her panties showing. Not exactly "all ages" as Sin implied.

I'm sorry if I annoyed any you by challenging Jake's totally out-of-line remark against me. I'm sure none of you would had done the same.

Now some of you are saying I'm being defensive because I don't want people to know about my illicit hobbies. That's not it at all! But none of you've read my annoying posts (I mean, why would you?) so I'm not surprised to see you making even more wrongful assumptions.

Novelty has an eager, growing, friendly community with no pornography what-so-ever. It is safe to recommend to people of all ages. Whether or not hentai VN's will be allowed on the Novelty web site is yet undetermined because so far it has never been an issue.

PS. Funny how that last part sounded so off-topic when that is what I've been saying all day. I'm sorry for all the posts I spent trying to explain myself to Jake. That was clearly a futile waste of all of our time.

You wasted our time and space in a thread by overreacting about something which was not meant the way you are trying to picture it and by insulting him instead of discussing civilly. And no, I don't agree with you: insulting someone IS DEFINITELY related and important to how you conduct a discussion.

Really, this would have been solved in a second, had you been more reasonable, but you're not smart enough to recognise you've made a fuss out of nothing, and now have to defend a position which is honestly ridiculous.

Don't try to make it sound like it's been him causing this all and as if you somehow had the general consensus here and your only fault was to "try to explain yourself".

Jake has contacted me over PM and I hope we can sort this out there. I think most of the drama stemmed out of misconceptions and assumptions.
Especially in how my words were interpreted.

"Jake is being an idiot" vs. "Jake is an idiot".
"That's an ugly trait" vs. "You're ugly".

To me there's a grand chasm of difference of actual meaning between those sentences, but it's definitely easy to misinterpret my sentiment if not my entire argument if you don't pay close attention.

I don't want to be anyone's enemy, but I do still want an apology.

Like I said, a lot of it stemmed from misconceptions (by both of us). We both apologized for whatever offensive thing we might have said. The end.

Novelty is entirely excluded from my work as a freelance artist. Jake thought it wasn't because I had posted about Novelty on a hentai forum before. What he didn't know was that those posts was removed over a year ago and I had shifted my own priorities (I nearly quit drawing to spend more time on Novelty). So he wasn't necessarily wrong, just a little late. I explained to him why I did that and why my best interest is to keep them forever separate.

I came on too strong because I got the impression that he (and others) thought less of me because of the content of my mature blog. I hope that was not the case, but it was really hard for me to not think that.
