Hi everyone,

I had some sound glitches on web build, so I've downloaded ren'py last update (7.4.8 ) and thanks to the progressive download, now the sounds and musics do not glitch anymore, thanks a lot that's awesome!
But, I have another "new" issue now. My game resolution is 480*270 (pixel-art) and I used to display it in a viewport on itch.io with this dimension = 960*540 (cause obviously 480*270 is a bit to small to be comfortable) and now everything is a bit blurry, except if I set the viewport to native resolution.

However, I didn't have this problem on my previous web builds. I'm using

Code: Select all

config.nearest_neighbor = True
and that used to works great to have a "pixel-perfect" effect no matter the window size was.
Important : I only have this issue on web builds, everything works perfectly fine on PC/Windows.
Anything I should know ?

Hey!

I was trying to solve this very same issue a few hours ago and found this post, hoping to get a solution :lol:

After a good time trying to figure out if it's something that had to be solved in js or whatever, I just went into into the Ren'py changelog and had a look at things that changed in rendering, as you said the blurring didn't happen in previous versions...

Well, the solution is as simple as:

define config.gl2 = False
That's it!

Just tried it myself and works like a charm! (You won't be able to make use of the 3D Stage, though)

OMG, I'm so sorry I didn't answer before!

Actually, I've downgraded on 7.4.8 after this post to avoid the problem for some months, but finally I had the same issue on Android builds. So I checked this post and your solution also solved the issue on Android too!

If anyone has this, please send me the log.txt file from when the error occurs, so I can fix it. Downgrading will get less and less viable over time.
