No mp3s in 6.10.1d?

I just updated Ren'Py to version 6.10.1d and now all of the mp3s that I had in my game no longer work. I don't get any error messages, just silence. All of the file names are in proper order and the right music can be found in the directory.

So has mp3 compatibility been dropped or is there some problem going on?

I never know RenPy support MP3 playback, since what I know is that RenPy only support OGG playback. Besides, MP3 is a "licensed" format so it could be illegal to use it.

Yes, I have always been forced to convert to OGG or WAV using Audacity.

Once, I had the same problem with one of the mp3 files. I do not understand what was happening, but when I re-download the same file from the same source - it helped.

Actually, I converted them to .ogg files and they didn't work either. It seems the entire music channel is being fritzy because my .mp3 sound effects still work. I re-downloaded them and put them in the directory and it still didn't work.

config.has_music is set to true also. Not sure what's going on lol

Have you tried updating your drivers?

You can debug music by setting:

     config.debug_sound = True

I'd also check that the music volume is non-zero, just to be sure. For the record, mp3 support works for me.
