I'm working with a renpy game that's 1920x1080 res, and I'm experimenting with displaying full screen moviesprites... 1920x1080 webm VP9 24FPS ... When it's brought into the scene with a dissolve, there is a 20-30 dip in the framerate.
here's a video of the moviesprite.. There's just a noticeable visual hiccup..

I'm running on a PC with i7-11700 4.8ghz + nvidia 3070, im guessing its not my PC running out of power? I see a noticeable spike in cpu usage when the sprite is displayed, but it doesn't peak out or anything. Anyone have any pointers or if there is a way to optimize large full screen movie sprites? Or maybe the answer is just "dont use fullscreen moviesprites"? Any insight is appreciated... I also tried mkv VP9 but got the same effect.

Re: displaying large moviesprites (optization tips?)
Is this ever going to addressed? Even with the latest Renpy 8.0.1, I am experiencing this problem with VP9 encoded animations.
