Help with freeroam / inventory VN

Hi folks! Recently I started to get interested in VN games and decided to create my own. I'm already quite familiar with Daz3D and mainly wanted to rely on high quality images, so I also bought a 3090 card so the rendering wouldn't take ages. I've come up with a plot for my game and I know what I'm aiming for, but I'm worried that compiling it all into a ren'py may overload me or take all the fun out of it. This question has probably already been asked, but could someone guide me to the tutorials I should start with? I'll summarize below the game I'm planning to make then it will be easier to get to something. Namely, the idea is to create an adult VN in the style of Milfy City / Man of the house - a linear VN, but with elements of free roam, inventory, earning opportunities etc.

The features:

- linear gameplay aiming at one final, requiring e.g. to continue one thread before moving on to another, etc. (i.e. several threads merging into one to reach the end of the game).
- store, where you can buy items,
- one or two opportunities to earn money - something simple like going to the right location and clicking on particular items or characters,
- an inventory with bought/found items - sometimes they may require you to click on them in inventory to use them,
- three or four times of day when you can do particular events,
- some simple point & click style items to find + a gallery to browse through them.

FWIW, what you're describing sounds ambitious for a first game, unless you've done a large software project before.
